Reading School District Benefits

In accordance with its 1991 operating agreement, The Foundation for the Reading Public Museum is pleased to offer currently enrolled students in the Reading School District preferred guest status benefits for Museum facilities, educational programs, and exhibits. Please check back often to learn about additional updates and benefits.

Student Benefits

Free Admission

Currently enrolled Reading School District students and up to five accompanying guests receive free regular Museum admission and free admission to Public Planetarium Shows with proof of enrollment.

Field Trips 

Prescheduled Reading School District field trips are free. Contact Wendy Koller for more information. 

Museum Discovery Camp 

Currently enrolled Reading School District students may register during the early bird period and receive Member Early Bird pricing. 

Subs and Science

Reading School District Families receive member pricing. Registration is required.

Homeschool Day

The Homeschool Day program is $1 per participant for Reading School District families. Registration is required.

Dinosaur Munch Brunch

Reading School District families who register for the regularly priced Dinosaur Munch Brunch will also receive free admission to the Dinosaur Train Member Preview.

Preferred Guest Status Guidelines:

These benefits are exclusively for the use of students who are currently enrolled and attend schools in the Reading School District and their family members who accompany them, with proof of enrollment.

These benefits do not extend to other organizations and schools who serve RSD students.

These benefits do not extend to students who reside within the Reading School District but attend a different school (such as a parochial, private, non-RSD cyber, or homeschool). 

Accepted proof of enrollment includes but is not limited to:

• Student ID

• Report Card

• Letter from faculty or staff (on letterhead or from district email)

• Any official district document including the student's name

 Assistance Programs for those who do not qualify for RSD Preferred Guest Status:

If you are interested in arranging a school or organization visit for a non-RSD school, but cannot afford a visit please contact Wendy Koller to inquire about our Feed Their Imagination grant program.

For families who cannot afford Museum admission, please consider checking out a Museum Admission pass from a local library or contact Wendy Koller for more options that may be available to you.
