  • Sunday, November 24 – Only 1, 2, 3, and 4pm

1pm – Legends of the Night Sky: Perseus and Andromeda (25 minutes - Ages 4 and up)

Perseus and Andromeda is a fun-filled retelling of the age-old tale of the beautiful, but unfortunate, Princess Andromeda, who in divine punishment for her mother’s bragging, is sacrificed to a sea monster and rescued by the Greek hero Perseus. Brought to life by animated narrators Aesop the owl and Socrates the mouse as we follow Perseus on his quest to become a hero and slay Medusa. We learn how the constellations were placed in the sky, forever turning overhead throughout the seasons.

2pm – Perfect Little Planet (35 minutes - Ages 8 and up)

A family from another star system searches our solar system for the perfect vacation spot. Dad wants peace and quiet, Mom wants pretty moons. Visit all the planets and enjoy exotic locales in the vacation trip of a lifetime. Walk on Pluto’s frozen surface. Fly the ice cliffs of Miranda. Feel the power of Jupiter’s storm clouds. A fun show for the whole family with awesome vistas and fun exploration.

3pm – Supermassive Black Holes: Uncovering the Invisible (25 minutes - Ages 12 and up)

Black holes are some of the most bizarre and fascinating objects in the cosmos. Astronomers want to study them, but there’s one big problem – black holes are invisible! Since they don’t emit any light, it’s pretty tough to find them lurking in the inky void of space. Fortunately, there are a few different ways we can “see” black holes indirectly by watching how they affect their surroundings.

4pm – MARS: The Ultimate Voyage (25 minutes - Ages 12 and up)

Ever wondered what it will take for astronauts to travel to the Moon, Mars, and beyond? On this long journey, what challenges will astronauts face? How will they stay motivated and healthy on their spacecraft so far away from Earth? The new, Bell original planetarium show Mars: The Ultimate Voyage, explores these questions and more!

5pm – James Webb Telescope Update Show (35 minutes - Ages 13 and up)

Grab the most stellar seat in in town on Wednesday and Sunday Evenings at 5:00pm when the Reading Public Museum, adds a new specially curated planetarium show at The Neag Planetarium. This unique show will feature the most up-to-date images and data from the James Webb Telescope. This show will be updated with new content directly from NASA on a regular basis, and run through the end of the year.
