Current News
It’s hard to believe that we’re headed into July already, but the good news is that the summer is already off to a very hot start…
Only about 6 weeks into its run here at The Museum, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles™: Secrets of the Sewer™ has proven to be a popular summer exhibition. Attendance has been strong, as have rentals for birthday parties and other events, as audiences remember the different iterations of the “heroes on the half-shell” over the past few decades. We played upon all the generations of TMNT this past Monday during our “Turtle Take-Over” day. We offered customized crafts under the Stone Terrace Tent, special activities in the exhibit, and even screenings of the original movie from the 1990s in the Neag Planetarium, all for a modest upcharge over our usual admission prices, with museum members and members of the Fightin’ Phils Kids’ Club getting special pricing.
Between the general attendance and the registrants who came specifically for “Turtle Take-Over” we saw more than 500 visitors which, I’m sure you know, far exceeds our usual Monday attendance! Lots of social media frenzy about the day and our continuing relationship with the Phils are just added bonuses to the overall success of the effort, which should help us wrap up a successful second quarter of the year - but more on that in the coming weeks. Have a great Independence Day weekend.
Be sure to visit the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before they leave RPM. The last weekend to see the heroes in green is Labor Day Weekend. And YES! RPM will be open on Labor Day this year!
Hope to see you soon,
JGS
