After traveling to 13 different locations during the past 10 years, it is time for a rest!
RPM's touring show, Masters of American Photography, is officially retired. These images have been on displayed in institutions throughout the country. We are glad to have them back for a rest. Don't worry, pieces will be around in other capacities in the future, but after a decade of travel, some down time is well deserved!
Works showcased in the touring exhibition include iconic photographs by Eadweard Muybridge, Alfred Stieglitz, and Ansel Adams, among many others, as well as the well-known Migrant Mother by Dorothea Lange.
The show debuted in the Works on Paper Gallery here at the Reading Public Museum in September of 2008 and headed out on the road in January of 2012. It’s last stop in Quincy, Florida rounded out a great decade of travels. Thank you to all the institutions that featured our Museum’s works in their galleries.
