On September 23, about 250 Museum Members and Supporters gathered for an evening of Harley-Davidson® fun to celebrate another wonderful year at The Museum. With food, drinks, motorcycles, and music, you couldn’t have found a better party in Berks! Guests mingled in the Atrium as they arrived, trying on gorgeous jewelry from Sorrelli and posing for pictures at Berks County Living’s Be Scene. Upstairs guests checked out The Museum’s two new motorcycle exhibitions – Hands-On Harley-Davidson™ and Hit the Road: Classic Motorcycles while enjoying some tasty treats from Special Occasions by Panevino. On the second floor, the drinks were flowing as people enjoyed more delicious food stations and music and dancing by Cooky Mann. Another of The Museum’s new exhibitions, Pop Culture: Selections from the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation, was a popular hit for guests as well.
As attendees enjoyed their food and drink, they perused fabulous silent auction packages set-up throughout the second floor. And The Museum offered a new twist this year on the silent auction. Guests could opt in to buy a Golden Ticket item – a sparkly, blinking bangle bracelet, for $100. The Golden Ticket was drawn at the end of the night and the winner had the opportunity to choose any auction item, overriding the current highest bid. The lucky winner decided to go home with the amazing Backyard Oasis Package – good choice! Museum staff offered another new opportunity this year – a Kids' Night Out to correspond with Night at the Museum, offering parents a chance to attend the party with a very convenient babysitter located right next door in the Neag Planetarium. After yet another successful Night at the Museum, we are already looking forward to 2018’s party!
