Arthur’s Visit to The Museum
On Saturday, September 28, The Museum celebrated the opening of our new exhibition, Arthur’s™ World! With the help of Arthur himself and PBS’s Tele-Bear, we welcomed lots of friends to The Museum, old and new, for a day filled with crafts, books, photos, and laughs.
Local organizations and businesses like Berks County Public Libraries and Grove Orthodontics joined in on the fun too! The event sponsor, Grove Orthodontics, hosted a special face painting table and children were able to walk away as Wonder Woman, Batman, Buster the bunny, and of course the classic butterfly beauty.
Museum Educators provided crafts and games like memory matching, Bingo!, bookworm bookmarks, and more. Children could create colorful stripes for their bookworms and attach colorful tassels for easy book-reading. At the end of the day, families were walking out with an armload of goodies from Grove Orthodontics, Berks County Public Libraries, and more!
So while the official meet-and-greet is over, museum patrons still have a chance to enjoy the exhibit, open through January 5. Check out the exhibit here.
