Thank you for your interest in the Reading Public Museum. We are currently not accepting signups for general volunteers. Please check back for future postions per department.

We are well aware that the personal commitment and valuable contributions of our volunteers magnifies and extends the work of the Museum’s small staff, helping our programs grow richer and more varied year by year. Together, we can all share great pride in our Museum and the unique and outstanding cultural education it provides to our community.

	Greeter Provide assistance and information to visitors, answering a range of questions about the collections, special exhibitions, gallery programs and activities.
	Education Docents (Museum tour guides) present interactive visits in the galleries. Volunteers to help with Family Backpacks and Gallery Guides. Science volunteers to assist with varied science-related activities and programs.
	Collections Research Cataloging, Data Entry Photography
	Membership Assist in Membership Sales Mailings
	Development Clerical support such as mailings, data entry and filing Assistance with various duties for special events/projects
	Museum Shop Volunteers experience various aspects of merchandising through sales and inventory responsibilities
	Special Events/Projects Festivals, Gala, Art of the Craft, Arboretum Assistants, General Mailings
