THE
AWESOME AQUIFER ADVENTURE
September
16, 2001 - March 24, 2002
The
Awesome Aquifer Adventure exhibit makes
learning about groundwater science and folklore
exciting as well as educational. The exhibit
presents the history of thought on groundwater
from the earliest civilizations to modern
day using posters, video and interactive
displays. Visitors will learn about basic
groundwater scientific terminology and concepts,
groundwater and caves, groundwater use,
and human impacts on groundwater. Watch
a video about underwater cave exploration
or visit an interactive station that will
allow you to handle and learn about real
aquifer materials while the demonstration
exhibits focus on seeing groundwater flow
in action. Visitors can also test their
groundwater knowledge in a groundwater game.
Don't miss this fascinating exhibit that
illustrates the necessity of our most essential
natural resource - water!
This
exhibit was conceived by Hazlett-Kincaid
Inc. a cutting-edge, geological and hydrogeological
modeling and visualization service. Robert
J. Libutti, an intern with the company,
researched and designed the entire exhibit.
